2. Website and server logs

When you visit the website, the server processes technical access data such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser information and status codes. This is required to deliver the website, maintain security and analyze errors.

3. Support form

When you use the support form, we store your name, email address, topic, message, language, technical browser information and IP address. We use this information to process your request and ask follow-up questions.

4. App backend and device access

The app may transmit installation ID, manufacturer account email, home, zone and device data, live status, scenes, automations, logs and technical states to the AirPilot backend. A compatible manufacturer account may be required so AirPilot Home can read device data and send control commands.

For basic usage statistics, we store the active calendar day (UTC) and the number of successful manual control actions per installation and day for no more than 90 days. We do not store selected modes, rooms, device serial numbers or control commands for this purpose. The installation ID can be linked to the manufacturer account. Control continues to work if this transmission fails.

Credentials or tokens are processed only where required for connection and control. Server-side secrets are stored encrypted.

5. Statistics and sensor data

When statistics are enabled, AirPilot Home stores aggregated measurements per zone. This may include indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, air quality, active mode, active scene, light sensor state and other available device data.

6. Apple Home and weather data

Optional Apple Home sensors can be used to determine temperature and humidity per zone more precisely. Weather data may be processed for outside values and automation decisions.

7. App Store, purchases and push notifications

For App Store purchases, AirPilot Home may transmit purchase and entitlement information to the backend to unlock Pro features. Push notifications are used only if you allow them in the app.

8. Legal bases and retention

Processing is carried out to provide the app, fulfill contractual obligations, handle support requests, secure the service and based on legitimate interests. Data is stored only as long as required for these purposes or legal obligations.

9. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you may object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Android, Google Play and push notifications

On Android, Google Play processes purchases. AirPilot processes purchase receipts and entitlement information to verify access on the server and synchronise it across your account. AirPilot does not receive full payment details such as card numbers.

If you allow Android notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). A device push token, technical connection information and each notification’s title and content are processed. The token is linked to your AirPilot account for delivery of requested notifications; on sign-out the app attempts to remove this registration. Google Analytics is not enabled in the Android app. See Firebase privacy information.

Optional weather features use a position you set or determine with permitted approximate location access. Coordinates may be sent to the weather provider to obtain outdoor readings. There is no background location tracking. Support messages and home, zone or scene names you enter are voluntary information.

You can request deletion of your AirPilot account and associated data on the account deletion page. Legal retention obligations may require some data to be kept for longer. This does not automatically delete manufacturer accounts or cancel store subscriptions.
